In every perspective of the students, it can be good or bad but mostly they think everything is just nothing, like nothing can affect their life. Here during the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC), the Attorney has shared his thoughts on how to not get affected by cybercrime.
According to RA. 10175 or Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, assigned by law of the Philippines to prevent, penalize and address cybercrimes including illegal access, data interference and online libel.
That says that without this RA. 10175, it would not prevent those who were affected by this cybercrime.
Empowers students not to commit
In every aspect, students enjoy scrolling through social media and post everything and some reveal their whole life through it.
Seven out of ten were called those who had been affected by the cybercrime and mostly the students.
Atty. Gilbert M. Dela Cerna says that “Choose wisely” in all what they do and if students post on social media.
Main root of this students
Students likely in this generation, especially Gen Z, are most different from other generations because their clothes are most revealing, not wanting to get covered and post everything happening in their life.
“Before you post or end anything, ask yourself if this is respectful, necessary, or will I be proud if I post this,” the attorney stated.
That’s why most of the people affected in cybercrime are students because they just normalize everything. The thoughts that they are still young so they get affected.
Responsibility is the key
They students still have the responsibility to get to know how we should be aware not just by surrounding but also through phones.
“We must be responsible online” and “you make choices on what you post”, “empower the students to retrain from communicating to strangers”.
Said by Atty. Gilbert M. Dela Cerna is about the out of every one of us to choose wisely in posting and be aware always. Awareness gives us light through the dark that would not lead to downsides.
In all aspects, posting is good and normal but when some stranger comes they still normalize all in their life because it feels like nothing. Most are bright to think and analyze then this leads them to cybercrime.
